Evansville, by far, has some of the best Christmas festivities. Our team at Baylor decided we’d put together a list of our favorite ways to celebrate the holiday in our town. We’re sharing it with you this month because you’ve got to check out these events too!
Fantasy of Lights
This festival is pretty great. It’s a light show, put on by Ritzy’s, that takes place in Garvin Park. It’s an awesome evening for any age – children to adult. Ritzy’s been hosting the show for 22 years now with donations going to therapy at Easter Seals. And for those kiddos that don’t like walking too much or get tired easily, there’s a drive through option available.
Reitz Home Tour
The Candlelight Reitz Home Tour caters to a more adult crowd but is no less fun. The event invites people to walk through the Reitz Home – in its Victorian glory – lit only by candlelight. It’s as gorgeous as it sounds.
Downtown Celebrations
Downtown Evansville hosts actually a couple of events, so we thought we’d make this just one item on this list. They host “Dickens Christmas” and a Winter Bazaar on Franklin Street. Franklin Street is decorated festively for Christmas, so even just walking the downtown area is nice for the holiday.
